The district offers a heartfelt thank you to Amber Myers and Kelly
Nichols for their service with the Alaska Army National Guard. The
soldiers were part of a command and control unit that recently returned
from Khandahar, Afghanistan. They’re also part of the ASD family.
Amber is an 8th grade
teacher at Mears Middle
School and Kelly is the
former principal of Eagle
Academy Char ter School.
ASD would like express
appreciation to all soldiers
for their service to our
country and welcome
home those returning
