10 ASD students were named National Merit Scholars in 2006

Jennifer Blankenship from Dimond High School and Matthew Smith from Chugiak High School were named 2006 U.S. Presidential Scholars

A team of four Rogers Park Elementary School students took first place in the 2006 national ExploraVision science and technology competition.

Romig Middle School student Sophie Wiepking-Brown is one of two Alaskans to earn a national 2006 Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Sophie was honored for creating an effective and well organized recycling and environmental awareness program for her synagogue.
