SFSF - Online learning
The Online Learning project supports both online and computer-assisted learning opportunities that provide flexibility for different learning styles and multiple ways to access curriculum. This project also provides classroom teachers with the ability to differentiate instruction and respond to students’ needs for independent and engaging learning opportunities.
Over the last five years, ASD has worked to expand online learning opportunities, first through credit recovery programs in every comprehensive high school and most recently by creating MyHigh, an online program that will allow much more flexibility for student schedules.
Also funded through Title VI-B, Section 611 IDEA ARRA, the SFSF supports MyHigh and the Online Learning project through:
- Hire of one Online Instruction Trainer for Education Technology Department
- Implementation of MyHigh on a systemic and relatively permanent basis through purchase of MyHigh courses
- Purchase of netbooks
- Professional development
