Stand Against Racism
The 2017 Stand Against Racism campaign is April 27-30, with a special event taking place at the Ed Center from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, April 28. Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities.
Your school or department can participate in a variety of ways.
1.Become a participating site by registering your school, unit or department on the national website.
2.Plan a Stand Against Racism activity. Your Stand Against Racism activity can be refocused around any instructional, SEL or other activity that is already in place. For ideas, view some of the activities which took place last year.
3.Join the Ed Center and other business partners by participating in Orange Friday on Friday, April 28. All you have to do is wear Orange and sign the Stand Against Racism pledge.
4. Attend the Ed Center’s Stand Against Racism event scheduled for 9-10 a.m. on Friday, April 28.
