21st Century Learning
Who are our students? They are the digital natives who move through instant messaging, social networks, online learning, creating and sharing content, and collaboration with ease. We must change our practice to engage these students. Changing our practice is no longer optional.
21st century teaching and learning prepares students for life today and tomorrow. To be successful, students need a new set of skills and our teaching practices and learning environments must be redesigned.
Our 21st century vision includes:
- Students who demonstrate a passion for learning, and the ability to evaluate and adapt information to create and contribute in a rapidly changing world
- Teachers who support students as creative thinkers and independent researchers
- Learning environments that address the personalized learning needs of each student
