 It
is with much appreciation, that I commend each and everyone
of you who have been involved in any way in our School Business
Partnership Program. It is truly one of the most exciting and
worthwhile programs in the Anchorage School District. Our students
and staff have benefited greatly with this program.
As most of you know, the Anchorage School District and the
Anchorage Chamber of Commerce joined together in 1989 to begin
this program. The program encourages businesses, large and
small, government agencies, non-profit, and other agencies
to participate in the program which is so important in educating
all of our students for success in life.
I sincerely thank all of our partners, and want to encourage
other businesses, organizations, and schools to continue to
build on this very successful year’s activities. I believe
it is essential that every school have at least one viable
and ongoing business partnership each year! Quality relationships
are more important than numbers as they are mutually rewarding
and beneficial for all.
We are very pleased with the ongoing success of this program.
This is an excellent enhancement of our students’ learning
experiences, and it is a very positive public relations opportunity
for both the District and the businesses and organizations
involved.
Thank you for a very successful year. I look forward to working
with you during the 2005-2006 school year.
