‌‌Parent participation is a major component of the Migrant Ed Program

‌‌‌Parents are the first and most important teachers of their children. They are role models for values, principles and conduct.

Parents are encouraged to accompany their children during reading activities, Migrant Education preschool special activities and field trips, and other family activities. Younger and/or older siblings in the family may also participate in all reading activities.

Parents are welcome to become involved in the PAC (parent advisory council) and encouraged to discuss their child's and family's needs with the staff. Periodic meetings are posted on the calendar. You can check the calendar here or use the "Calendar" link in the Migrant Education menu on the right side of the page.

A satisfaction survey is sent out each year. All surveys and comments are reviewed and considered. Participant opinion is valued to help improve the services provided by the Migrant Education Program.
