Sonic Boom!

Each spring the ASD Music Department presents a large group concert at the Sullivan Arena: Sonic Boom! This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the musical accomplishments of our students. All sixth grade band and orchestra students will perform at this concert.

Music teachers will provide students with detailed information regarding Sonic Boom!, including a Sonic Boom Information Letter. For the date of this year's Sonic Boom!, please see  the  Music and Fine Arts Calendar.

Choral Jubilee

Each year an elementary choral festival occurs, combing about fifteen of ASD's elementary school's choirs together with cultural representatives and performers from the Anchorage area.  Held at West High School, this festival brings Anchorage together to celebrate music, diversity, and Alaska.

Area band, choir and orchestra festivals

These may be scheduled by individual high school areas.  Students will receive information from their instrumental teacher.
