The Anchorage School District has settled the employment contract with the Anchorage Council of Education/American Federation of Teachers, Local 4425 (ACE/AFT). Bargaining for a three-year contract, this bargaining unit is comprised of approximately 400 employees.
This is the fourth negotiated agreement that the District has settled in five months. “Meeting the needs of students,” said Todd Hess, chief human resources officer, “we have dedicated employees who provide support to teachers, schools, and administrative departments.”
The tentative agreement, pending School Board approval, reached with ACE/AFT, extends through June 30, 2021.
“We want to thank the employees of ASD for working together to meet our obligations to our students and community during these difficult financial times,” said Hess. “We appreciate the dedication and the professionalism of all of our employees,” he said.
