Gifted Mentorship Program

Mentorship requirements

Students receive an elective credit for a mentorship when they successfully complete the requirements listed below:

  • Research your mentorship field of interest and write a one or two page summary of the field.
  • Spend a minimum of 45 hours as directed by your mentor.
  • Maintain a journal documenting your hours and your experiences.
  • Conduct three interviews with professionals in your mentorship field.
  • Compose an article review from a professional journal in your field of mentorship.
  • Create a final project reflecting your mentorship experience.
  • Present your project to an audience including your mentor, parents and ASD coordinator.
  • Meet with your coordinator at least twice a month at your home school.
  • Write a gracious letter of thanks to your mentor.
