This Web site is designed to keep you informed of the great things occurring every day to prepare for the opening of the New Clark Middle School in the fall of 2009. The comprehensive renovation project is currently underway at Clark Middle School. It is amazing that we have so much to celebrate and share. The construction site has met their projected time line and is on schedule. The site was temporarily shut down in December 2007 after the successful completion of the retaining wall and all of the ground foundations were poured. The site picked up again in March 2008 with construction moving from the ground up. This will truly be exciting for everyone who drives by Clark's construction site. Davis Construction has been absolutely awesome. They have done an outstanding job with all aspects of the construction site, working to keep our budget balanced and the scheduled project on time. All work has been executed with the greatest of care and detail. They are professionals in every regard. Thank you Davis Construction and your wonderful crew.
You will be able to see many of the updated design plans, color schemes for the interior and exterior of the building on this site. We also have a wonderful addition…McCool Carlson and Green has used their creative talents to include a mosaic falcon design that will be featured on the wall as you enter the building and on the wall of the downstairs lower level.
Construction is projected to be completed and ready to open in Fall2009. Being under construction is always tough, but our staff and students have been extremely flexible. We are looking forward to settling into our beautiful new school in the near future.
The newly remodeled facility will house nine academic teams with ESL and special education classrooms as well as great learning spaces for physical education and elective teachers. Clark will have a new gymnasium, multipurpose room and library. You will be very proud of this state of the art building design. When Clark Middle School opens, it will house 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.
Davis Construction’s dynamic crew is getting close to kick-starting construction again… some of the steel is on site and more is at the docks. They should be bringing on the steel erection equipment within the next couple of weeks. Keep watching for some exciting movement on the site of Clark Middle School.
